This is really so meaningful and it's really exactly what your description says about it! (=
I think the amount of Details is perfectly right - It's just enough to make the message clear and yet keep the drawing realistic!
The only thing, but that's already mentioned ;D, is that you really could and should increase the contrast between shading and light areas.

Stunning. Great eye to detail. You did so well at portraying the water. No outlines (other than pebbles, but what can ya do?). All I would have to suggest is maybe trying to push the values more.
