An illustration to Bartłomiej Dzik's drabble Tele-bazar . Both were published in October 2013 issue of the electronic magazine www.szortal.com/node/3767 >Szortal na wynos.
I read the story as a mockery of tele-shopping, where everything is gorgeous and miraculous. One day, a mage comes back from work and sees his mistress watching an advertisement of a pan covered with teflonium, a magical element form other dimension. Of course you know the properties of it. But the mage bursts with anger hearing so as it is definately agains one of the scientific rules of the universe the characters are living in. Therefore, the sellers cheat on people.
The author, however, claims that it was not his intention to laugh at this way of trade.
And I wonder if he imagined the mage the way I did. It seems obvious to me that the difference between a mage and a Mage is in clothing. Badass clothing. I simply love epic pauldrons. Of course your arm would faint of its weight. But you aren't a Mage. Seems legit C;
