I don't usually show my face, but this is just a little teaser of what I faced in the morning of September 26, 2009 when Typhoon Ondoy (International name: Ketsana) struck. I can't believe I'm actually smiling here
.Picture taken from the 1st floor of St. Joseph's Hall in De La Salle University Campus. Manila actually felt like Venice that day, only we didn't have boats and we were literally stranded. Other than that, it felt like New Orleans on the day Katrina struck. Metro Manila received the worst rainfall in 42 years. Still, we were fortunate that the flood was just knee deep unlike in other places were the floods reached the more than one floor high.

Well it was somewhat all smiles you know. Everyone was taking pictures. As odd as it sounds, we were like tourists on our own school. It floods here but never to this magnitude. I didn't have a camera since my phone was destroyed about two weeks ago by a washing machine incident so I asked my friend.

wow! okay naman kayo ngayon? meron nanamang bagong bagyo! kawawa naman yung mga namatay grabe parang walang kwenta lang ako nung pinapanood ko yung balita walang ginagawa samantala sila nagmamakaawang sana hindi sila matangay sa bagyo!

oo nga naman. saw the forecast sa cnn though. mukha namang iiwasan tayo, but I hope that is the case. yeah cnn. can you trust PAGASA nowadays

yeah and they said that the pagasa cannot declare any suspension now that people got tired from all the false alarms? wow signal no. 1 palang yon?

yeah. sadly, storm signals are based on wind speed and not rainfall. Tbh, that storm was not really strong at all (in terms of gustiness of course). I would not be in school that day if the storm was really strong.

yeah i know it wasn't. i think milenyo's harder. imagine that? we didn't have electricity for weeks.

oh i meant the others. we didn't have electricity for 4 days but i heard that others were up to 3 weeks!

Floods aside, I still think Milenyo is the epic worst.

yeah i hate bagyong milenyo! he destroyed our tree and that was the day when my grandma died cause of cancer
