Nikolya Pavlovna Krasievna (Nikolia Pawłowna Krasiewna), my character in 's Warhammer campaign we started playing during our annual summer trip.

She's Ice Apprentice from Kislev.
Becoming an Ice Witch is not voluntary - if a girl has a gift, the witches claim her as their own, and take her away from her family. So when ice witches came for her, Nikolia's family wasn't very happy with that, and Nikolia herself wasn't very keen either to become heartless bitch with little or no feelings, spending most of her life in cold woods, possibly living in celibate. They were all trying to come with a plan to free her. It was almost done, when Chaos Invasion began, and Nikolia took her chance to run away to the Empire. Because of this she's one of a few non-chaotic people who can see some good sides of Chaos invasion, but she'll never say that aloud.

She's all Kislev. Her clothes, her accent, everything is more kislevic than ever was before, because her idea is to do something no one would expect her to do. Everybody knew she speaks fluently in common speech - she's pretending not to know it very good, speaks with a heavy Slavic accent, and often makes grammatical mistakes. And she tries not to be seen by anyone while using her magic. She prefers not to use it, unless it's necessary... to sterilize a place, or to keep vodka from getting warm (yuck!).

She doesn't know herself how she ended up an assistant to the Witch Hunter, along with some strange, gloomy, somewhat nasty and sometimes even fanatical (like 's character Jurgen) characters. Only one of them knows almost for sure who she really is - a priest from Kislev, rest suspects something, but they're not really that interested, as long as they have some other witches or mutants to burn. Much to her irritation they (especially Gustavo, 's fencer for Estalia, who came to Empire to see how it is to fight Chaos and is fitting in with the fanatical atmosphere disturbingly well) keep calling her a sutler. But it's still better than being called a hag, like our teams young mage, 's character .

Role-playing Nikolia is a lot of fun, but faking the accent makes my lips numb after a while.

This picture is about two months old, I just couldn't put myself together to write a note to it. It was late at night when I was colouring it, and as a result I had to fix colour of her hair and eyes, because I've confused them. Drawing her was fun, her clothes were inspired by illustrations in Russian fairy tales books I have, I wanted to draw something like this for a long time.

To draw this I used Pink Gown 11 by inspiring as the pose reference.
I also used Russian Doll 16 by and some info from pages about historical Russian clothing as a reference to draw her clothes. Painting patterns is fun.

Indelible Indian ink, watercolours, pencil & tea (instead of water, it was rather successful experiment) on 300g watercolour paper. Nib pens and brushes.
