We're going to try something newEating our meals, and swallowing each bite,
Not hiding the chewed up remains under our tongue,
And not making ourselves vomit through the night.

Bringing the liquor down from our lips,
Not turning to the alcohol for comfort,
Until the addiction rips.

Throwing away the needles, the pins, and the blades
Not searching underneath our skin for emotion,
Watching the wounds and the scars fade.

In this case, you're more likely to survive by trying "something new". By doing most of these things (not eating, drinking, drugs, cutting) you are putting your life in danger. Talk to the author.

I think it's awesome that you write things for people on a subject that most shy away from. Thank you for being understanding for people that feel that way, rather than judging. Thank you for writing these things to lift them up rather than keep tearing them down. It's beautiful and touching and I hope it makes every person who reads them a little bit happier knowing that someone cares enough to reach out and say that yes you are strong.

I used to write at the most 3 poems in a day when I was still in school. In college, I was writing only one poem in an entire month, and then now. It's like 3 months pass and I can't get past the two lines. Anyway. That sucks. Makes me feel as if I'm losing my talent. :/
