Excellent work on the background. Great job with the figures. You've got plenty of skill.
The J.O.E.'s are definately what the world needs. And without a doubt, Cobra needs to die.

I love Chuckles and BeachHead from the original cartoon and comics. The new comic they just did featuring him was awesome.

He was killed in one of the comics but I heard they brought him back somehow? You know anything about that?

Yeah in the Devil's Due run of GI Joe it went horribly wrong two years before they stopped publishing Joe comics. They went crazy killing major characters in silly or over the top violent ways trying to get more people to read. Chuckles was killed by one of Serpentor's minions if I remember right.

Larry Hama, the guy who created GI Joe and did most of the Marvel comics started a new GI Joe series for IDW Comics and it's sort of a restart to the series from scratch. So everyone that died in the previous one doesn't count.

Chuckles got his own limited series called GI Joe: Cobra and it shows how he infiltraited Cobra and worked his way up through the ranks.

I have almost every single GI Joe issue DD published and hated the way the story was going. Specially when they started killing great characters like it was nothing.
I remember how furious I was when they killed Big Boa just like that. Then Lady Jay..The Horror!

I am glad they are ereasing all that. Thanks for the info man.

I know Lady Jay pissed me off and then they killed Monkeywrench off panel during the last story arc. To top it all off the whole series ended with a rip off of the first X-Men movie. Cobra Commander is sent to a specially built prison where only General Hawk comes to visit him. WTF?

Yeah, it's a fresh start but don't expect it to be like the original too much. Hama is really taking his time with retelling the origin and revamping a lot of things. And Chuckles is a complete bad ass as well as being a smart mouth. You should like it.

Looks like I'm gonna have to pick up the Joe comics again.
I am so glad to hear that they are fixing all that mess.

It's pretty awesome, there are three series right now. One limited that focuses on Cobra's beginnings and Chuckles infiltraiting them, one in current time and one that retells the origin. The origin has been built up around Snake-Eyes and most of the original team so far.

I think the Cobra one is out next month in tpb form and the others are still early enough in the run that you can probably back order them from a comic shop if they don't already have them.

And yeah, it's good to have Hama back and retelling it the way he had always wanted to.
