Love your interpretation! And I really might learn something from you about backgrounds - I've looked at your gallery, and your backgrounds all are stunning! A bit Art Nouveau with a bit of modern comics thrown in and don't make me start about perfect coloring...
*rants*
Anyway, Ivy's my favourite Batman villain, and I really was disappointed, too, about her protrayal in that abysmal film. Having said that, I do hope she might get another chance in one of the (hopefully coming) Nolan films.
BTW: Do you really see continuity issues there? I mean - it's a completely new timeline (as they do frequently with any superhero canon these days) and I daresay it's not a bad one...

Well, I have no problem with the "entirely new timeline" theory. My issues arise when they're supposed to have originally been "prequels"...but since they panned out WELL, they've become "new timelines" so we can play around with them and make some more cash. Meh. I digress.

I love Poison Ivy, despite her appearance in the movie franchise (even though I do love Uma Thurman). She's such a fun concept for a villain and her character design pleases me. I should construct a costume one of these days. I'll make you design it for me ^.^

I LIKE it dude. Every time I think of Poison Ivy the stupid movie version of her gets stuck in my head. This is a much better alternative. lol Maybe she'll be in the next Batman?

Actually, it kind of pisses me off when there isn't consistency in movie continuations. (Even when they come in the form of prequels.) I was supremely pissed that the joker turned up in Dark Knight. I haven't even gone to see it. (There are numerous reasons, a: I don't like heath ledger... yeah. he's dead and I can -still- say I think he sucked. and b: Jack did the Joker in the original 1991 batman JUST the way I've allways envisioned the joker. Sick, twisted, humoresque. Meh.)
Anyway, just like batman saw the joker in the movie continuity for the first time in the 1991 Batman, and now was magically pre-appeared, as MUCH as I might like to see a DECENT Poison Ivy (AND a mister freeze, AND a two-face for that matter --DAMN YOU JOEL SCHUMACHER) I have continuity issues. I'm just hung up that way.
Unless they STOP trying to convince us that they're making PREQUELS, I'll keep on calling them schmuchs.
And again, since I went off on a rant here, JACK NICHOLSON was the joker. Period. Ugh.

Thank you for the kind words though
