(Sorry it isn't a finished piece,i just didn't feel like making this into a full drawing)

So,one day i was just at school,sitting on my desk drawing and checking Tumblr,seeing alot of baby bones..and then it hit me.
"What if Sans wasn't there to take care of Pap..?"
And then,like any normal person,i came up with an angsty AU that makes my favourite character as miserable as possible!
(Why do we do that?)

Sans leaves 3-5 year old Papyrus at Waterfall,hoping that someone will find him and take care of him,since Sans can't do that anymore.Papyrus grows up alone,his only friends being Undyne,who doesn't even see him often,and Grillby who
often let's him do some work for him.After 12 years he and Sans "meet" again when he's looking through Grillby's trash,
Papyrus run's off,leaving Sans to drown in his sins.After the encounter,Sans does his best to look after Papyrus,
leaving him food and such whenever he can,and making sure that anyone that messes with his brother doesn't do it again.

Papyrus.
He's more cowardly and shy,but still tries to stay positive and happy.
Mostly stays at Waterfall or Hotland since their the places he feels the most comfortable at,it actually took him a few years before he was brave enough to leave Waterfall,most monsters leave him be,but there are always those few who think it's cool to harass him.
Once Sans starts leaving him food he starts to visit Snowdin more often,knowing that the nice monster helping him lives there,that and he's getting closer with Grillby.

Sans.
He's tried to get his machine to work for years,so he can bring Gaster back(Father?Brother?Friend?)
His obsession got so far he could barely take care of himself,let alone his brother.
He's still working on the machine,but since finding out about Papyrus he's trying to make up for his mistake by helping his brother from the shadows,though he tries to confince himself it's a way to make it up to Papyrus,he's also trying to forgive himself.
Even if he thinks he doesn't deserve it.
Sans does not work as a sentry,but he does still sell hotdogs,which is just enough to feed him.

Grillby.
He met Papyrus when walking through Waterfall,he had forgotten his umbrella but Papyrus showed up and offered to give him his own,once Grillby went back to Snowdin Papyrus followed him,a few days later Papyrus starts looking through Grillby's trash,Grillby tries to talk to him,it takes a while but the two start to develope an actual friendship.

Undyne.
She's saved Papyrus a few times in the past,be it starving or other monsters harassing him.
Undyne is almost a big sister figure to Papyrus,he tends to spend some nights at her house.
If she doesn't see or hear from him for a while she starts asking around,even when she knows Papyrus likes to
wander around.
Undyne and Alphys started dating soon after Undyne became friends with Papyrus,
since he wanted to pay her back for helping him and being his friends,he helped Undyne with asking Alphys for a date.
