Description
We're standing on the Rocinha Ridge, part of the Serra Geral mountain range.
On the left, you can see the Rocinha canyon, from which follows a valley leading out to sea.
This is located on the state border between Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.
Southeastern Brazil.

Beautiful. I live in a U.S. state called Louisiana. Here, in this part of the U.S., there are no mountains.
Unless you count Driskill Mountain.

Here in Louisiana, especially where I live, land was built on swampland. Much of the southern part of the state is either swamp or former swamp turned land. As a matter of fact, New Orleans is below sea level. Only the French Quarter neighborhood is above ground at ten feet above sea level.
Another thing is that when you travel north from our state capitol, Baton Rouge and the state's fourth-largest city, Lafayette, the land gets higher with a lot of hills.

I wish more people would realize how beautiful and what a special place Brazil is. It's such a unique place and you once again managed to capture what makes Brazil a special place to me. Hopefully, I'll get a chance to visit Brazil again and travel to some of the more remote places.

It is true, a lot(!) of people have little-to-no idea how diverse and special this country is. Especially the south, which is remarkably different to the rest of Brazil and home to overwhelming landscapes. I'm happy you like this view and I hope you can get to explore these regions.
