So, I was having a lot of fun with this.... before I realised, towards the end, that I had completely fucked up the perspective on the throne (I'm not even thinking of the rest). I used a ruler and everything. I don't know what's wrong with me, I really don't. I'll just stop doing backgrounds, I think.
Next time, I'll try a different palette for Jotunheim - kinda have to, because I'm running out of my favourite colours and I'm too broke to buy new pencils. yay.
Oh yeah, it's Loki, as King of Jotunheim, sprawling on his throne, because you know he just would.

I've just been so frustrated with everything I do lately. I have a pretty clear idea of where I want to go, but it feels like I've hit a wall and no matter what I try in order to improve, I just keep falling back on old mistakes. (And the worst part? I only notice them when it's too late to correct stuff. I think my life might be easier if I were working digitally. Now, if only I had a couple hundred Euros to buy a tablet.) Bah.

Hey, at least you're working on art again! After a long hiatus it'll probably take a while to get back into your 'groove'! Don't be discouraged -- even if you see lots of flaws in your work, other people think it's amazing.

I guess you're right 
I must admit I do miss the critique opportunities that were around in LJ's hp fandom-land. I'm just kind of flailing around on my own and tumblr, where I mostly hang out, just doesn't provide the space to request a beta who might have caught some of the messes - also the quality level of my new fandom is crazy professional, so I feel doubly out of place. Ah well.
