Description It was snowing quite heavily yesterday and though driving would a little tricky, I decided to risk it and head to Kildonan Park.

I was glad I did.

It`s really good, is it a photograph, or Digitally remastered. I think the bridge takes your eyes off the full picture.

Absolutely outstanding in my book. I was wondering, did you sign this one? I didn't look very closely but I don't remember seeing your signature. Your sig would make this one even more wonderful to display. I would proudly point and say to my family and friends - "See, Midnightstouch made this photo." BTW I hope you stay warm up there. We've had some cold weather here last week but now we're up in the 50's again. Rain today, tonight but clear by Sunday evening.

It is indeed beautiful. I find it sad how many people don't notice. It drives me crazy when I think about how many beautiful places there are in the world, that I'll never experience first hand. That's why I make an extra effort to appreciate what's around me

Perfect Linda, the composition is great. I love that
you centered the bridge rather than putting it either to the right or left, it is such a contrast to all the white snow it really belongs right where you put it. I love this and will definatly it.
This would make a perfect wallpaper.

Thank you Sandy! I thought didn't look right using the rule of thirds, so I'm glad you like it centered. The whole park looked so pretty, I'm glad I went! Thanks for the lovely comment, and for faving!

it kind of reminds me of that Monet painting, i can't remember the name...

i think it's the bridge in your picture.

Thanks! I'm glad you like it! And I'd be happy to see -6. We've been hovering around -30 for weeks now!

wow -30 i didn't realise it got THAT cold in canada...jeeze.
it's getting warmer here now was 7.5 today though still cold..think i'm stil trying to thaw out after last week lol

midnightstouch In reply to hennah [2009-01-11 18:49:36 +0000 UTC]

There are places further up north here where it gets much worse. We go through periods here and there when it gets to be -50 with the wind chill (it's VERY windy where I live). Further up north that temp is not at all unusual.

I think I seriously need to move!

wowza. how do you cope?? just wear extra warm clothes?? sorry i might sound stupid it's just it never gets THAT cold here lol.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

midnightstouch In reply to hennah [2009-01-11 22:03:44 +0000 UTC]

I cope by venturing out as little as possible But when I do...layers upon layers of clothes I'm not at all fond of winter so by then end of January I'm about ready lose my mind.

hennah In reply to midnightstouch [2009-01-12 17:47:17 +0000 UTC]

but it does get warmer there?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

midnightstouch In reply to hennah [2009-01-13 02:36:50 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes. I summer we average about 75 to 80 degrees and often quite a bit warmer. We tend to be a climate of extremes

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hennah In reply to midnightstouch [2009-01-13 18:30:02 +0000 UTC]

so much snow! It snowed here too, but not that much. Besides, I'm ill right now, so no hiking or anything for me

the scenery is great. how about making that bridge a bit more red?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

midnightstouch In reply to milan221 [2009-01-11 05:30:13 +0000 UTC]

I wish I could share. We've had more than enough for 2 winters I think I hope you're feeling better.

I did try a brighter red shade for the bridge, but it didn't look as nice as it does in the earthier tone.
