I felt like drawing younger versions of all my characters doing random stuff, and then I got bored, said "aw, screw it" and drew Link as a kid. Don't ask me why I gave him pants or sleeves or why he's holding a hawk, but I did. So there.I think I got his face just right, and same with his hair...

Personally, I am. And also, I've allways believed Link is plus that he seems very close to nature itself. It's almost like the nature is his home and the animals are his friends. We also see this fact in the game that Link often seems to meet animals he'll talk to etc etc.

Why yes I am.
I think Link can commune with nature like that because:
a)He was blessed by the Goddesses and the animals around him sense it
b)he's a nice kid who has that kind of connection with the life around him(reflected in the green he usually wears)
or c)He's just that awesome.
...I'm leaning toward option c.

Other, it seemed that I gussed right that you were a nature and an animal friend. I myself loves nature and animals and to me I feel strongly that Link does too plus that he seems very different and special from everyone.
If I were to choose from the three alternatives you gave here I'd choose all THREE OF THEM! All of them are simply him, I just know it!
