A white winter rose.For you it is a rose, for me it is my heart ~
My beautiful darling, Shira. Shes a purebred Swedish White Elkhound of 12 years. A veteran hunter, known for her good cooperativeness and excellence in the field. This year was her last year as a working dog, now she is retired.
Quite a few hours with my bamboo tablet and photoshop. I'm very happy with the result, and I had much fun doing this piece. I hope you like it!

Aww, im sorry I dont! But theres loads of great tutorials out there! When I first started digital painting I checked out quite a few of them. After a while I developed my own technique. Heres some links to a few good tutorials. If you search for "fur tutorial" you will find LOADS more!

And you're technique is awesome, the fur is so detailed and looks silky, but not too soft, and you can still see her facial features underneath! Amazing ;D

Amazing! The fur and the shading are fantastic, and the colors are beautiful. The detail in the texture of the roses is very nice, as well. ^-^

First of all, what kind of dog is she? She is beautiful!
Second-Critique time as requested!
The theme is followed through. You repeat colors very well. The grand pose of the dog is very noble and her anatomy is very realistic I have to double take to make sure its not a photo.
Background is a little boring, but I guess it doesn't matter since its all about the pooch.
I think you MASTERED the eyes. They make my heart melt.
Over all, beautiful piece and beautiful dog.
