This is an amazing peace of work! When I look at this image I feel fear, anger, sadness and joy all at the same time. You have a real knack for realism as well as choosing colours that are pleasing to the eye. The only thing I would adjust on this image is perhaps a little more eye and body details. You have the shape of the Lions body down perfectly and a little more detail to the shapes would really make it pop out! Just like you did with the Lions head e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>I can tell you put a lot of effort into this peace. You are an amazing artist, keep up the great work!

Thank you for these kind words! I am very pleased that this piece awakens so many feelings for you, that is one of the best things art can do, I think! Maybe I will do a bigger, similar piece, with the whole body of the lion in it I really like these colors together.. The eye, I almost never draw them more detailed when it comes to traditional art. I find it very dificult to capture the "soul" of an animal, so I often leave the eyes undetailed like this.. Thank you again!

You are most welcome! I understand what you mean by finding it difficult to capture the soul of an animal. I think you did it wonderfully though! That is why I made the recommendation of adding a few more details to them. It would capture the soul of this animal even more! "Eye is the window to the soul" kind of thing Anyways, fantastic job once again! I love the colours you chose as well. They mix beautifully together! I look forward to seeing your second peace!

Thank you ) I always think that! I believe it is true, that the eye is the window to the soul ^-^ Maybe I will try to do some more detailed eyes sometime.. Thank you! I might start it tomorrow But theres so many ideas in my head right now, that I want to get down on paper, and soo little tiiime.. Sometime I wish I could just stop time and draw for ages..

I really like the explosion of colour here and the way the Lion's mane bleeds into the background! Well done!

A bolder transition between the lion's mane and the background can be adjusted. Or an incorporation of the lion's eye colour into the background would work as well. But gorgeous piece. truly inspirational

Thanks for the suggestions! I like the idea of a more bolder transition, I might do a similar piece and try that out then
