It's been a long time since I last posted something lol
hehe luckily I had time to do this 
anyways it's Kenji challenging Kenshin (his father) and well this is kind of like a test for Kenji
I was inspired by that oh-so-sad movie, Samurai X: Reflections Director's cut.... that movie was just... sooo sad
but still beautiful at the same time... the ending made me go "waaaaaah!!!!!" I wanted Kenji to face the legendary warrior of all time who was also his father and well, I wanted Kenji to know how strong his father really is (he never had the chance to experience how tough an opponent Kenshin is since he was away for a long long time
)lol I suck at backgrounds but I'll try my best to practice more (I love the grass brush in photoshop hehe)
I found a simple tutorial on the rain effect
and I found the logo through google (hooray for google!!!)
I hope you like this simple work of mine

I don't consider Samurai X canon since Kenshin and Karou had a happy ending which they rightfully deserve, but this is something I want to see. Kenji to see how strong his father is.
Kenshin: I don't know if I can do this Kenji, you're not my enemy...you're my son.
Kenji: I know father, but before you became my father, before you became mother's husband, a teacher...you were once a man slayer who was a master of fighting in many techniques that takes years for Samuarai's to learn. Someday I will take over mother's Dojo, but I need to become strong before I become someone's sensei, before I can teach anyone how to fight.
Kenshin:...So you chose me to be your teacher in this my son?
Kenji: The world can be cruel, and you know that all too well, and this is something I should learn to since I'm learning the Samurai way...please, don't hold back and show me everything you got, teach me what you know! Be my sensei before I can be someone's sensei!
Kenshin:...Alright Kenji...but only for you to learn so you can be a teacher for your mother's Dojo, I will never forgive myself if I end up harming my own child. But I will not fight you as a Man slayer...but as your father and teacher to show you the true meaning of Samurai.
Kenji: That is all I want...teach me, show me what I must learn as a Samurai, father.
(Afterwards)
Kenji: (breathes heavily) That was incredible! How are you so skilled father!?
Kenshin: Years of training Kenji, a lot of discipline and learning....as well as guilt...
Kenji: Guilt? You mean (realizes)...I see....
Kenshin: Kenji...take my advice, not only as a Samurai and ex Man slayer....but also as a father.
Kenji: (blinks) Huh?
Kenshin: When you become a Sensi, your students will not only see you as their teacher.....some might end up seeing you are their older bother figure...or a father. And that comes with great responsibility.
Kenji: (Blinks) I don't understand.
Kenshin: You don't yet since you're a child...but when you get older and have students you will see them as your children. When you do, do not only teach them what I taught you today, protect them as well, guide them and be there for them when they need someone the most. It's true as a man slayer I did horrible things I'm not proud of, but since I ended my murderous ways, met your mother and when you were born I always try to be better than what I used to be for your sake, your mother's sake and mine. And what I want from you Kenji...is to be better than me, don't use the sword to harm people like I did before...use it to protect not only yourself, but also those who can't defend themselves and those you love....what you must remember when you become a teacher at the Dojo and teach your students is to not only how to use a sword, but to also know when to show mercy and kindness to your opponents...I gave most of my enemies the Ultimatum to change their ways when I quited being a Man slayer I did, and when some did not, I did not kill them but knocked them out and let justice take care of them. Sometimes you don't need to spill blood, most of the time your enemies do that to themselves, remember this Kenji.....while you hold the sword, never let your anger consume you...listen to your mind and your heart...because your anger clouds your judgement and on;y the true you can make the right choice.

That's a really cool idea of what Kenji's genpuku might be like. I love the look of trepidation of Kenshin's face. Is he anticipating his death, or wondering what kind of swordsman Kenji will be?

Fine fine work indeed. The colouring is brilliant, and the rain effects have been done really well too. I love the facial expressions as well. Nice work on the swords too.
