pretty nice, i like the generous use of shading to make it look darker. Armor looks a little "flat" of sorts, maybe because it's shaded too softly around its edge?
Helmet could be a little more menacing, or have more lights attached to it. So far it looks very much medieval.
Overall, reminds me of a cross over between Mass Effect and Warhammer 40k. Still, I like it.
Backgrounds fantastic, by the way.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm still developing technique; future efforts will probably incorporate heavier shading at the edges, less in the contours and seams in armor. As for the lack of menace, I was kind of going for utilitarian over intimidation, more of an all-purpose exploration suit than one designed for battle. If it's reminding you of Mass Effect at all, I'll consider that a good thing! Working on a humanoid robot right now that will hopefully turn out a lot better than this piece.

Hard to tell when space suits basically are reminiscent of bulky knights armor, which is still how I imagine future space suits as well though,
The comparison to Mass Effect is meant as a compliment, and seeing as that series borrows designs and ideas from pretty much all Sci-Fi up to this point, something "looking like Mass Effect" is not surprising
