Yep. My first pencil piece for a very long time!I actually started this last year, but stopped working on it when I realised how difficult the wool texture on this guy's jumper would be. I finally got tired of seeing it unfinished, that I decided to bring it to some degree of completion.
This amazingly attractive guy (not) is a character from 'Little Britain' (one of my favourite comedy programmes), named Andy Pipkin, played by Matt Lucas. You would really have to watch the show to get the quote, but it kind of sums up how I feel about some parts of this piece, also. Haha.
Now, I am not happy at all with the wool jumper! I was going to make it so much more detailed and believeable, but I just didn't have the enthusiasm or drive to do it, so it's kind of rubbish! Maybe I should have just made it into a dark coloured jumper or something, but never mind! I also lost all my favourite pencils so I had to scrape around for some, and didn't have access to my lovely mechanical pencil, so quite a few of the lines, especially in the hair, look too thick and bulky and ugly.
At least it's done! I have quite a few unfinished pieces lying around, so you'll probably see quite a few of these in the coming weeks.

You captured the character so well! The speech bubble is awesome. Great drawing, the shading is well done, especially on the mouth and the hair.

Haven't a clue who this is, considering I don't have access to British shows (except the few they show here in the states). But I quite like the thick pencil lines in the hair.
They complement the word bubble - give this an illustrative quality it would otherwise lack. To insert a word bubble into a hyper-realistic drawing, I think, would be a bit off-putting. This drawing isn't - precisely because it looks like an illustration.
Through my rambling, I mean to say that I like it.
