Marvellous photo. Perfect composition. The contrast between the dark sky and the white snow is fantastic. Although it's a rather empty photo, it's so alive that I can feel the cold out there.

I think there might be a misunderstanding. With 'empty' , I meant that there's know sign of live (no person or animals or buildings close by)
not the lack of color. Or do you think it should have more blue to accentuate the cold ? I don't think that's necessary. The B&W gives it that dark, bitter cold feeling. With blue, it would be more a happy, pleasant winter feeling.

Not to worry, I understood you perfectly and appreciated your view. The sepia tone made the image look like dirty snow IMOO, but it was the craze of the time.
There was a young girl at the bench while I was setting up, I felt much more solitude then.
