My first Visual Style for Windows VistaActually, I just needed a vs for my topshellstyle and this is
what came out at the end...
changes in the glass
taskbar
new orb
new scrollbars / progressbar
changed buttons
topshellstyle
... and more
I also removed the textglow in the upper window frame, so readability in the inactive windows is sometimes a bit lost, but I never really liked the textglow...
You need a patched uxtheme.dll file or use VistaGlazz: [link]
& I highly recommend the browseui.dll mod by Miretank for his back/forward buttons: [link]
A patched Shell32.dll for the topshellstyle is included

Just amazing and i really want to use this theme. but im new to deviant and don't know much on how to apply this, last time i tried this i had to go into windows safe mode with command prompt and run system restore...

I've been through almost every single vista theme on here and I always come back to this one. The start orb is perfect and the silver border highlights on the start menu really put it over as well. I love the look of the shell as well. This is the best blueish theme on here- I don't think I'd be alone in saying that.

is there any way that you can help me to make vistabreeze work on my computer. I've gotten the theme applied, but it won't show. I've gotten the topshell and the start button, but the windows look like the ones from "basic style", even though I keep applying the theme.

Unfortunately, this sounds like you really have the basic style displayed there...
Please make sure, you choose AERO when you apply the theme. Sometimes it can also be better to restart the pc, esp. when you change the shell32.dll as well.

Ich sehr viel von ihrer Visual Style. Aber meiner Meinung Fenster mit dem Service Pack installiert ist. Und ich kann nicht verlangen, das Panel zum Detail in den oberen Rand des Fensters. That's no problem at all
To get the shellstyle displayed on top of the window, you need to replace the original shell32 with the patched one. Take ownership, rename it and then copy the patched file into the system32 folder.

you have the folder with VistaBreeze in your themes folder?
When you doubleclick the msstyle, you can choose between different themes.
Unfortunately, you will not see the name 'VistaBreeze' there... Just click different
'Aero' Styles, the one with a slight change at the scrollbars will appear as VistaBreeze then

when i try to rename the shell32.dll to shell32.dll.original it won't let me because it says its being used by another program.....what can i do to crack it

You need to take ownership of the old shell32.dll before. Then you can rename it

yeah i did..i tool all the steps in the .readme file and nothing...at first before i took ownership it said that i didnt have the permission...then i took permission and allowed me all privilages then it said that the file was being used...

Ah, this one took me nearly 2 months, it was my first. Satin was finished in 4 weeks
I really like making them at the moment, because I enjoy the concentration I need for working on the visual style + it's just fun learning something new
