Patrick McGoohan died this Tuesday.

His most famous role was the one as "Number 6" in the 60s British-TV-series "The Prisoner". I am a great fan of this show, I liked the weirdness of the series, the duels between the minds of the always new "Number 2" and "Number 6".

Today we are discussing how far we can go with restricting our freedoms for getting a bit more security. With governments tending to spy on their own citizens and increasing control over the personal lifes of each person, this show - alone with its introducing words " I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own." and "I am not a number - I am a free man!" - sets an example of how we should deal with this situation.
