Description I'm a big huge copy cat that can't stop stalking Jon Hodgson. If he has lemon curd and scones for breakfast, I have to have lemon curd and scones for breakfast. If he paints a mountain range in ArtRage, I have to paint a mountain range in ArtRage. Of course, his looks photorealistic, and mine looks like a finger painting... but I can still scarf down more scones in one sitting than he can!

Tanks to Jonny H. for all his inspiration and orsumness in general.

I saw this thumbnail and I thought "That scoundrel better give me some kind of name check!" I should have known better, and I apologise for my lack of faith.

Nice mountains! Hope you enjoyed this morning's croissants as much as I did.

I think these look great. Are you feeling any more comfortable with AR?

Hahahaha. Seriously? Of course I'd give you props! In fact, I think my public affection for you is in danger of looking like a schoolgirl crush.

Tanks. I think I am feeling a little more comfortable, yes... although with something as abstract as mountains, it's easier to get away with the lack of control. It'll be some time before I try using it for a pro job, but I am going to keep experimenting with it as time allows.

The croissants were delightful, yes. Thank you.

I can certainly say it took me a good few months to be confident enough with the program to use it professionally. And even then it was only for blocking out/underpaintings. It's been months beyond that to get to the point I'm at now when I can do whole paintings mostly in AR. And even then I'm still polishing up in Painter and PS.

Its kinda bizarre how much effort I'll put in to get that wonderfully squishy AR oil into my work, eh?

I reckon. I'm more worried about actually putting characters or a monster in there. Rocks is easy to smear around and look interesting. It'll get another pass soon, but today Bob is once again my Uncle. And I ain't painting no postage stamps in AR.
