It's nothing complicated at all. I just do the smart sharpen technique in photoshop haha!

Another excellent shot from here man. More unique than most of what I see from here.

I have the weekend off and was thinking of heading up north somewhere, but not quite sure if that is going to happen or not. Otherwise I should be up there around Feb-march. Hoping to get to bryce for a snow storm at some point.

Bryce sounds fun... I've never wanted to shoot there for some reason.. but I've ran a half marathon through there, haha!
I guess I should put it in my portfolio

I guess it's just one of those places you should go to once to get a shot. I'm only planning to go there during the winter time. I have no desire to go any other time of the year haha.

Nice shot with the rays and really nice work bringing out the detail in the shadows.

Michael, did you run into anyone else back there?
The permit system is a good idea considering how fragile this area is,
but I wonder how much enforcement there really is.

I saw a few other hikers with permits hanging from their bags, but not too many people. The friend I went with has been there a couple of times, and the first time there was a "ranger" sitting at the entrance of the wave asking for permits. He told him he was there at least 5 days a week. That's all I've heard.

Great shot Michael! I put in this last week for the back country lottery chance to get in to see this geological marvel this upcoming April. Can't wait to make the hike in there.

Very worth it! I'd go during the fall/spring, though. Of course, any time you can get there is perfect, but it was surprisingly freezing when I was there!

I believe it will be and I'm excited for the chance. As a photographer that has never used a tripod I'm adding one finally to my arsenal to capture images in locations like this now that I'm out in Utah.
