Description .: History :.

Some more dinohorse found on an unknown island.  Pretty easy to catch they are too imperturbable to mind being sold or owned. It doesn't matter to them as long as they have food.

.:Appearance :.

In build pretty much like a shetland pony.
Their tail roughly of the length of their spine.
Usually have three rows of knobs on both side, displaying type of ankylosaurus.

.: Temperament and Behavior :.

They are rather solitary, or stay in small groups.
Foals leave their dam's side as soon as their weaned to wander on their own and find some food for themselves.

They spend most of their awake time eating.
They can fall asleep anytime and anywhere, the fatest way to wake them is tempting them with some threats.
Uncaring they don't know the meaning of stress.
Don't ask them to do anything more than what you'd ask from a turtoise.

-Diet-

Not fond of hay, they prefer fresh grass, roots and vegetables.
But usually will try anything they can find, including clothes, shoes, cardboard, any kind of paper.
They can also start to chew on bridle and tack.

.: Breeding & Foal :.

Females are in heat twice a year -unless they have youngs to care for.-

They will gather leaves, moss, or anything they can find to make an incubator for their eggs. They usually remain not far from it, unless there is too few to eat and won't hesitate to leave their eggs for a few hours to fill their stomach.
The eggs hatch in 30 days and the foals feed on their dam's milk until they are 2 months old, staying in the remaining of their nest until then (they usually scater the material around when hatching.
While they are growing, foals can roll themselves into a ball on their side to protect themselves from predator (like an armadillos). Once reaching their adult size their plates harden and they are large enough not to get eaten in a few bite.

The foals gets the sire's type with 45% chance, the dam's type with 45% chance  or some completely new spike pattern mixing both parent's with 10% chance.

If you manage to cross them with more active ponies you could get a fancy driving pony.

Breed is SEMI-CLOSED , you can't create any starter but you can breed them.

Imports are 120

DatNachtmaehre and TheWolvenEstates can have one for free.

I have only four lineart for four ankyloponies : edmontonia, euoplocephalus, dyoplosaurus and peloroplite. So if you want a herd with others it'll need some more time, is what I meant ;3

Shall we send you a note for the free import? Or one to the group? Or just post here?

I'm still debating with myself if I want a Polacantus or Gastonia Ankylopony.

What if I want to import two (the second one payed off course) can I comment with both than?
You know I like to have mine in pairs even if they are more solitary regarding their behavior. They can roam the preserve freely and just meet eachother for mating season.

Well than here they are. ^^

- the freebie -

Gender: mare
Coat: grullo double pearl ( a vibrant shade of black pearl similar to this link  would be cool)
Markings: a small snip
Type: Polacanthus

- the pay it  one -

Gender: stallion
Coat: buckskin pearl
Markings: a star and snip
Type: euoplocephalus

Do you think you might have a little second time for a mini sketch on how the spikes of Polacanthus www.tunturisusi.com/dinosauruk… might be placed on an ankylo pony? I love those but i have no idea on how the features might blend in with the horse body. A very brief like the sketches of the breed idea page one would be enough.
You know I'm open to wait for longer time for an import if that would take much time.
