Well, this one's more just a pichur-inspired by a cover, so~ Whatev's the idea came so I wanted to draw it!
So I found that wonderful album of Japanese seiyuu's doing Disney covers of some songs, and came across a few covers that had X's seiyuu doing some nice ones. And they both sounded so soothing-n-lovely, I just immediately imagined X singing to them with so much feeling-- but the thing was my intended pichur was to be him performing on stage, but I just couldn't reproduce what I already spewed on a doodle. Again, why are doodles so much nicer than the final-stuff??
Well, anywho, I also got this idea while at school where I didn't have any spare good-paper to draw on. So I was starting to worry if I would lose my mojo before I got home, but as I thought things out, I ended up planning a different take on the song-idea. That idea being this little, snuggle-pichur. I am always kyuul with making pichurs involving family anyway~ And despite how X is the youngest of the four here, he could still make a good big brother-- mainly because of his height, fufu~
It's always a challenge to shade things in a night-lighting, but I'm still trying my best on that. But what I was most focused on was the little darlings sleeping beside X, their posing was much more important to me! (Except for the fact about X's left leg, it's kinda funky-looking, so it makes Megaman look like he's bunched-up too much)
Protoman probably just heard the three all comfortably relaxing that night and snuck next to X when they weren't noticing-- c'mon, dude, we know you need some family-time too. ( ~> v<)~

If anyone's curious, Zero's seiyuu has one solo-cover, too. Can you find it in the Related's? I have yet to draw something for that...

A blast from the past!!! (Both the movie's song and your project, BTW).
I really love the atmosphere in this, it's just really cute, relaxing and has certain beauty to it when looking to it's context (the song).Β
I guess it's more aligned to the original song from the movie because that one makes me do inhuman voices while holding my steaming face out of the fuzzy. But goodness, that rendition of the song is really relaxing and good-feel... but boy isn't X's voice absolute pleasure to listen! His voice actor is really talented.
This just really fits for X too since he was the next-gen Mega Man back then... but I'd love it to think he has a fondness to fairytales and singing songs from them. That'd be lovely. (-Β΄2`-)

X does seem like the kinda guy to have this sweet, gentle brother figure when you look at him closely. It was just a bonus that I found out that this song I found was during a lullaby-- to be completely honest, it's been too long since I recall watching Lady and the Tramp.
I did wanna try a possible similar-shot with his "kids", but then I decided to take the easier route in terms of design, and had him snuggle with his siblings instead. Even so, I'd think the feel would be just as nice with him being a father as well as a brother.
Having such a character, I can see him like that too. How sweet~! ( > v<);

Of course, I had to look up other Disney songs he sang and couldn't stop imagining X singing "Heigh Ho." It's catchy!

Oh, that cover of "Heigh Ho" was sung by someone else.
If you look at the titles, they show the song name and who's singing. Sakurai only sung two solos, which are the ones I linked to on my description. ( ^ v^);
But nevertheless, X was meant to be more human according to Dr. Light, and being able to sing with soul should prove that, eh?

Anyway, before my insides popped, I was going to gush about how incredibly sweet this image is. I never considered the idea of X being a singer of any kind, but I totally see this being canon somehow. It makes me that much closer to want yo write that one Classic/X-series cross-fic..... Ah, but I still need to get that next chapter of Redemption Squad out. *sigh* Curse you, writer's block.

Ohhh, blockage of any kind, I feel you-- it's evil.
But gosh, I find depicting X as a loving big-brother to be so nice, despite how he's chronologically the youngest of the Lights. I mean, most people see him as so buh-dais (my cover-up term for "badass") being that he's so tough-n-all compared to Rock, and yet some forget to look deep in him and find this kind, human character X has.
Knowing he's the kinda guy who prefer peaceful over punching, this seemed fitting for him to do-- or at least to me it did.
Still so, I'm sure that idea would've been just lovely~ Though I totally understand your current writer's block. ( > ,<);

Well, from looking at the other works you've done involving those two, I think your relation made between X-n-Zero seem pretty fitting to me. They don't seem out of character like how most people tend to make them (especially in the case of Zero), but I don't mean to push you. No work can please everyone in the world anyway, it's more the fact that we stick strong to our own thing, or so I guess. ( ' ,');
