Yes finally a colored version where the artists realizes those are socks and not weird puffy anklets.

Nice color job, Metro. The colors fit pretty well.
I hope that when you come to make your own Crash fiction, you would consider writing Tawna into it. You can even rewrite her character a little, if you want to.

It was not just the "sexiness" they were worried about, Naughty Dog removed Tawna for good because after Crash Bandicoot, they were not pleased with her redesign because it was not the redesign they wanted for her.
This is all because Sony Entertainment Japan and Universal Pictures were a tough crowd to please, and forced Naughty Dog to abide by their choice of redesigns and wishes.
Naughty Dog lost the rights to the Crash franchise afterwards.
Fun fact tho, if Tawna wasn't dropped, then we wouldn't have Coco.
Coco was an interesting character, especially cute.
I admit Tawna wasn't quite memorable for me as a character the way Coco was, but I heard the new Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy is going to bring Tawna back along with a redesign that is going to make her look like a femme fatale.
So the design is going to please everyone while having Tawna look believable.
(I mean, seriously! How does she get around the jungle and tough to reach platforms with that figure and high heels?)
Something to look forward to.

I've already seen the remastered redesign. part of the N.Sane Trilogies demo
was a complete remake of the intro sequence from Crash Bandicoot 1 (which introduced Tawna at the end.)
Have a look, it looks MUCH better than the original: www.youtube.com/watch?v=akIsMb…
Not only in her character design, but her overall behavior in the intro.
In the original, we just saw her being restrained by Cortex' guards.
but, in the remade version, she is actually fighting the guards before she is captured.
Talk about an Improvement.

Pretty good.
Wow, the PS1 graphics look so much horrible than I remembered.
Now the question will be if they are going to make a new Crash Bandicoot game after this, and if so, how will Tawna fit in the game along with Coco?
Will they have Tawna dump Crash and go after Pinstripe Potooro like it was rumored to explain her disappearance in the games?
Sony Japan made this story in the one of the games' manual and confirmed it in a manga they made for Crash Bandicoot.
I hope they won't do that because it would contradict her character in the new remastered version.
Another fun fact is that the game producers actually planned Tawna to be the "brains and beauty" type of girl.
Sort of like Miss Bellum from The Powerpuff Girls.
But not very smart like Coco's intelligence.
So she actually had a personality.
We just didn't know because she was removed afterwards and given the "Dumb Blonde" treatment.

Well, it was the Playstation ONE (remaking an old game like that on the Playstation 4
was bound to result in major improvements that would make the original classic "obsolete")
I honestly didn't think that backstory that Japan made up was necessary
to explain Tawna's absence from future game titles.
So she wasn't around, It doesn't mean she just flat out DUMPED Crash
after all that hassle that he went through to rescue her.
If I were to pen any story explaining why Tawna wasn't present in future games.
Then, I would say that Tawna pursued a career in modeling (what else?),
and just didn't have the free time to join Crash on his many mis-adventures.
(We call that a "working relationship" emphasis on "Working")
It doesn't appear the team behind the N. Sane Trilogy are keeping everything a sit was.
as the new intro showed, they already changed Tawna's characterization in the remake.
(She was show fighting off guards, rather than just being restrained by them.
I think It is clear that the "new guys" don't want Tawna to be "Princess Peach" this time around.)
Be that as it may, It is still pretty early to talk about 'New Game'
Yeah, I am certain the developers are hoping the success of the remake/remastered trilogy
will gain enough popularity that development of a new game will be green lit.
But, that is a pretty big "IF".
For now, let us be happy that Crash is returning to his roots.
And, we'll all get a chance to hop on the ol' Nostalgia Train.
