You know, she seems like Otto Octavius from SSM and/or Alphys from Undertale since they both started out as shy and timid scientists.
A few more details that Helen/Helix has in common with them but makes them different from each other is Otto's current superiority complex stemmed from having low self-esteem and being pushed around by Norman while Alphys is bisexual and done some things that are... "questionable".
But the one thing they have in common (besides genius intellect) is that they were (once in Octavius' case) considerable and had a good heart.

Whoa.
Seeing Helen, the shy woman with insecurities, turn into Helix, a confident woman with bravery, respect and power, is unbelievable. A bit morally complicated, yes, but still has good intentions. You really did the "Demona aspect" in Helix's character right.
Btw, I think Helen looks beautiful with glasses and in a sweater. I think that she should not feel SO insecure all the time, even though I know that will happen years later in Helen's/Helix's life (which is kinda good, depending on how you look at it).

I just felt it best for fans and critics to see that my character, Helix
was born an "Arrogant, Destructive Manipulator." And, that she was once a 'relatable' person.
Part of it stems from the Live-Action 'Maleficent' film.
which retold the origins of Disney's most "evil" villain.
(Admit it. It was hard to hate Maleficent after watching that movie.)
Another inspiration for this was in "Robot Monkey Hyper Force"
where Skeleton King's origins as "The Alchemist" were revealed.
And viewers found humanity in a villain that almost seemed like the personification of the devil himself
(Well, THAT might not be fair. Skeleton King was more of Darth Vader and Skeletor blended together.)
But, at heart. Helix/Helen is mainly a female Doctor Doom.
as Doom is a villain that aspires to World Domination. But, his motivations are somewhat justified.
I mean, just look at the state of his country, Latveria.
True, It IS a dictatorship. but, It is also crime free due to how strict and brutal he is with his laws.
(One also can't fault Doctor Doom himself. as it has been recorded that
When one of his guards tried to rape a female prisoner that he himself kidnapped. he 'incinerated' said guard.
huh. Okay, then. NEVER piss off Doom.)

Cuter than Daphne, Ironically.
I mean. just look at her "exposure" on most new Scooby-Doo releases.
I still remember one animated movie where she appeared to turn into a "Hot Vampira", or something.
"It's always the quiet ones..", they say.

I really dig the design and the picture really helps to capture her innocence. You see such a striking difference from her and Helix. Imagine the two meet and Helix thinks to herself "I can't believe I was THAT once..."
(Btw, your copyright didnt form in the description.)

Not native in Equestria for over 10,000 years? When were the humans native BEFORE the 10,000 years?

In my fanon, Humans were native to Equestria during the reign of "Queen Zacherle"
who was Queen Faust's mother, and Princess Celestia and Luna's grandmother:
When Faust was just a filly, Zacherle had to "banish" all the humans from Equestria
when Lord Tirek threatened to invade, as the demonic centaur intended to devour the human's souls
(Human souls gave him greater strength than any other kind of soul)
Faust was very young, but still remembered the humans
and, was brokenhearted at being forever separated from "Megan, Molly and Danny Williams", who were her friends.
But, she eventually understood that this was done to protect them.
With "humans" in general being regraded as "Legendary", or "make believe" by modern pony knowledge
(In other words, Human are to ponies what Unicorns are to humans in real life: Creatures of Fantasy.
And, Lyra Heartstrings is the only one who seems to believe that they ever existed.)

I think I have an idea for Lord Tirek. Or rather "Lord TirekS".
What if the Lord Tirek that tried to absorb the humans' souls millenniums earlier was an ancestor to the Lord Tirek who, in present day Equestria, escaped his prison in Tartarus and tried to absorb the power of all the ponies in Equestria before being re-imprisoned in Tartarus by the Mane Six?
Meanwhile, "Lord Tirek the First" battled with Queen Zacherle and eventually Queen Faust before being imprisoned in the deepest, darkest depths of Tartarus. So deep and dark, that his descendant (and unknown to him, fellow prisoner) Lord Tirek doesn't even know about his ancestor's imprisonment in Tartarus. He survived thousands of years into present day Equestria through his knowledge of dark magic, giving him a form of immortality. As a result, he's even more powerful and ruthless than his descendant.
There's more details to my idea but that will do for now.

Where are the Equestria humans now? Altogether in another world very different from Equestria or scattered to the winds across the multiverse?

I'm going to go like Scott Cawthon, and not giving a definitive answer.
All that matters is that they were sent away from Tirek. WHERE they ended up is up to the readers.
In any case, Celestia may become enthusiastic at meeting 'Helen'
as no doubt Faust told her plenty of bedtime stories about humans.
For all Celestia knows, Helen may be one of the very same humans who once lived in Equestria
(or, at least descended from "The Lost Humans", as I am dubbing them.)

That's a concept I played with my character in my pseudo-real fiction. I had an idea where he sends himself a message from the past to the future, they sort of converse. Like how Minerva did with Ezio, she conversed with him from the past by predicting his responses. Only HE had the machine calculate the likely responses accurately fortunately or that'd have been one awkward conversation.
But this was a 700+ year old talking to his 1,000+ year old self. Both criticized the heck out of each other and even had an argument about something before the past one turned off the machine. When he got to that point at 1,000+ years old and after the conversation with his past self, he just found it really amusing as he got nostalgic of his past annoyance. ( )
Those are some interesting ideas you've got there. I wonder what kind of studies they ran on Helen. It's funny you mention that because my character studies Luna for being a "Precursor" whose kind have been gone from Earth for over 75,000 years. So there's some similar tropes there. Both are very intelligent too.

Allow me to paint you a picture.
Imagine Helen strapped on a metal slab, in a cold, dark room.
while an evil pony with a "Nazi Scientist" mentality lays an assortment of tools on a table.
a Scientific curiosity at this "strange, hairless creature with dexterous hands".
and, a desire to learn everything about it. From basic anatomy, to "what makes it TICK."
Helen did NOT have a good time (and, no longer thought ponies were "cute", after that.)

Pretty much what human scientists do to my captured Predacats, sometimes WORSE.
In the Rage War novels, I remember reading about a female Yautja named "Eve" by the scientists who went through so many vivisections (look it up) that she just committed suicide by willing her hearts (<- you read that right) to stop.
But Yautja scientists (and Predacat scientists) aren't any better or gentler either. Same for my clone Boys whenever they capture a new and interesting alien for experimentation. Plus their myriad of human test subjects, mostly criminals who broke their laws.

Yes, it is. Though, this one proved trickier for obvious reasons.
Yes, when Helen was mutated and became Helix. The mutation process enhanced
her natural abilities, not unlike Captain America's super soldier serum.
Apart from enhanced strength, speed and durability.
her basic senses like Hearing, Smell and Sight were enhanced beyond average levels.
So, she doesn't need glasses anymore (though, whenever she does lose her powers, this disability starts to return.)

MetroXLR In reply to EpicCrasher [2016-12-01 21:05:29 +0000 UTC]
I only looked at it from a biological standpoint.
Assuming there IS such a thing as energy that alters human DNA
for the sake of enhancing one's natural abilities (aside from a few "perks")
Then, something like poor eyesight would be not only cured, but enhanced
(So, Helix may be able to see great distances. or, notice minuscule details
that most people would overlook..And, perhaps even "night vision.")
Another reason I added glasses was to distinguish Helen from Helix a bit more.
You know. So it doesn't seem like a recolor of Helix wearing different clothes, or something.

EpicCrasher In reply to MetroXLR [2016-12-01 21:17:10 +0000 UTC]
I see, yeah that could work. (assuming that Helen just has a lazy eye or something around those lines)
The enhancement of her senses would naturally include making her eyes stronger. Though I'm doubting that night vision would become one of Helix's powers as that would require some different things in the eyes If my memory on biology serves right that is.
She definitely looks different from Helix. I myself would have given her different hair. However considering she has to look somewhat like Helix I can see the reason you didn't change her hair up.

Actually, I did: It's shorter.
Helix hair length goes down to her back, Helen's hair stops right at her shoulders.
