Actually, the Troodon is the smartest of the dinosaurs. They're smart as opossums, while Velociraptors are only as samrt (and big) as chickens.

Didn't know that the Troodon's the smartest one, thanks for telling me that, I should really refresh my dino-knowledge X'D
Yeah, I know about the Veloceraptor actually being more like carnivorous chicken
My main reason to mention Veloceraptor and Deinonychus as being best known for being smart dinosaurs was that Jurassic Park made that a common cliché with their oh-so-smart Veloceraptor-named Deinonychus XD

Well, I grew up with it, Jurassic Park is the reason why my very first job-wish was to become a paleontologist, Jurassic Park and Land before Time were the movies that introduced me to dinosaurs and woke my interest when I was a little kid, unfortunately at some point Pokemon became more interesting which is why my dinosaur-knowledge which I'd gotten from all my dinosaur books is a bit rusty X'D

Yeah. I've always been a dino-fan, too, but it was from books, so... there's that.
Pokemon has a way of changing lives, doesn't it? :3
