I went through a phase where I wanted to draw Belldandy as a goddess from as many ancient pantheons as possible... I only managed about three, but this is the first one I did. I did a rough sketch, but liked it so much I scanned it into photoshop and prettied it up. I liked the soft texture of the pencil when it scanned, so I didn't refine the lines much, just changed them to a sepia tone, and added the colors from there.Related content

If I ever get back to this series (I think I drew them in '06?), I'll keep that in mind. I was originally going to stay away from the Norse versions since they are kind of supposed to *be* the Norse versions... but really all they've taken from the Norse are the names, so it might be worth doing.

Very pretty! I like how you've done her wardrobe: her dress( I assume a peplos?) looks nice and natural, you really get a sense of how it flows.
