Seriously a uruk-hai would kick the samurai's ass. I don't get why everyone likes samurai's so much they are lite the worst fighting unit ever. Especially their swords are very weak compared to other cultures since they aren't even made to hold for a hit on another sword without breaking (now I don't know the word for the technique(damaskering in swedish) used when one folds the iron while hot several times to make it endurable, well it wasn't invented in japan until the 1900th century, the vikings had it in the 900th but no one prices their swords and armor). It must be japaneese produced movies who have made some kind of strange view of made up history.

Seriously, No sword and i mean NO sword is meant to take a full blow from another.
They all will break after a few hard cracks even with that folding thingy. Oh ya and how do you know wheather the Uruk-hai has a folded sword huh?
Though you are right about the samurai being pretty unskilled they thought so highly of themselves its ridiculous. The Japanese tryed to counquer Korea from the Chinese for 500 years with no success.
Then came th boxer revolution whith Cu-ko-nu VS macine guns...... I dont wanna talk about it.

I'm quite sure the folding technique was known in japan way before 1900. But that's not the point. The point of this image was in no way to adore samurai any more, it's merely an attempt on a funny crossover for a tolkien fanzin with a Tolkien in Japan theme.
