Haha...this new design is cracking me up. A Sparrow mask, based on the markings of a Eurasian Tree Sparrow, by special request.It totally reminds me of "Angry Birds".
The first was for the client who requested it, but Sparrow #2 is in my shop right now. I'm not sure I'll be making more of these...it's kind of a funny little mask. Cute, anyway.As ever, this is hand carved, hand shaped 8 ounce tooling leather. Painted with Liquitex acrylics.

You might like White-throated Sparrows, too. Their markings are rather pretty for a group of birds that can otherwise be rather understated.

I like the black beak on this. The colors are always so sharp and clear on your masks, and i think the black beak just brings it all together. The lines on his head must have taken you quite some time to carve out. Amazing work as always!!!
