Yeah, ditto on the hatching. Especially with charcoal, everyone wants to blend, blend, blend. Β The hatching makes it 'pop' really well.

Thanks! Yeah, I love hatching because it's very quick yet bold. I thought about blending it more, but I figured it was the hatching already stated the image well enough. I'm taking an online art class and they have like to endorse the idea of "doing more with less". I think I'm starting to adopt it.
