Description
Rūn, last of the Irid
During the Deluge of Blood, the tribe of the good shepherd Irid was scourged and oppressed by its brother, Ispar — they took their flocks, burnt their tents, and enslaved their people. Tarīh, son of the Irid High Chief, Tamug dīm Bel’āk, and his host of men was enslaved as well. By the cunning of his father, he gained his freedom and escaped the grasp of his enemies. But he and his men did not get far, before they were set upon and slaughtered by raiders of the Halilšahad Tribe. Tarīh perished, and of his men only two survived, reaching a nearby sanctuary city. One of those men was Rūn, a distant kinsman of Tamug. And he would grow great over the Promised Land, uniting anew the warring brothers Irid and Ispar through the strength of his hand.
