My first attempt at underwater scenes <3
This is Petite or pet for short, he's a Minion.
A Minion is an water like creature who takes on the form of a rat. They are made out of water, but have a gel like feel to them. They are likely to be hunted down, as they contain within them a gemstone which they are born with. Some say that it is the key to tell what month the minion was born in. Others say it's just a way of telling each other higher classes from one another.
These Gemstones are precious and are sold for very high prices, such as diamonds, rubys, emeralds.
They live usually hiding in the depths of the sea, but every lunar cycle when the moon is full. They float to the surface to breath for air.
Their tails are there only way of defense, the wrap around their prey which are usually carp. Constricting them until the stop. They are but small creatures but have the ability to enlarge their tails.
Once a gemstone is removed from a Minion, it slowly dies as it turned into nothing more than water.
These creatures are very well endangered, and only come up now every hundred years. Causing many to die before they reach that point. Due to the lack of air at the bottom of the sea.
Man's hands have ruined yet another creature of innocence.
My first creature I've made for a while. I truely love Petite, he's just soo cute. He was based off of a toy I bought from a store. A water filled plastic rubber rat.
Their eyes are the same color as their gemstone. And they color of their, waterfur is determined by the type of water the resort in. (( Salt, Fresh, Swamp, Murky,)
A quick half an hour draw, really wanted to draw this before I forget
