... Lucky, old man...The Dark Knight Returns is easily one of my favourite Batman stories; and even though Frank Miller has since messed his nest with "all star Batman and Robin" (self parody? No, just plain bad) it's still a quality read today.
This is my first in a planned series of classic Batman scenes or moments (in this case a splash page) recreated in my own style.
Killing Joke and Arkham Asylum are also full of iconic moments ready to be paid tribute to.
Oh, and I don't usually say this, but the fullscreen on this one looks so much better.

I first read "All star" and hated it (except the brilliant art) but I also had bought DKR, and after reading it, I was so happy. 
I like this piece, simply because I like people's interpretations of that scene. They both look pretty cute too.

You're right about "All Star", Frank Miller has either lost the plot or he's just writing the crappiest thing he can to see if DC will buy it on his name alone. Awesome art, though
And 99% of everything I draw ends up looking cute
I read DKR first, and it's still one of my favourite Batman stories.In the sequel Carrie is Catgirl, or something like that. I also really like Arkham Asylum and Killing Joke

I think Miller's lost his mind. And he for sure has something against the bat-mobile.

And the sequel is very disappointing, DKR ended perfectly, Miller should have left the story there.
Also I would like to see a Sin City/300-style movie of TDK one day. Not going to happen, but still...

In the sequel, Miller doesn't even draw Batman the same way (instead of huge and old, he's just kinda normal 
If they do make a film, it would have to keep the artistic style of the book, and not be "realistic" like TDK; I don't think it would suit the story
