Description
Final project in grade 12 art...a horse. My first real painting, I suppose. It caused much pain.Acrylic paint on 36" X 36" canvas.

That is wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. One thing I have always had trouble with is color... and it's about time to tackle color again!

Ah, well for our final project we got to paint whatever we liked, really, although we had free rein for most of the course. I imagine architecture is not all that fun to paint... I don't mind drawing it, but it's kind of soulless.

aha, well this was my first painting really...I did two small ones for practise and that's it. I basically taught myself to paint with this, so I'm sure you could do the same thing no problem with a little bit of instruction.

Well, I actually did get one of those stand things that you set the paper on and paint for my birthday, (can't think of the actual name right now... Heh) but I haven't even actually used it yet... maybe I need to.

That is beautiful. I love the highlights that make the horse shine. The detail is just amazing....I'm incredibly impressed!
