Description
This image has been a two month labor of love. I started it in December, got horribly frustrated with it after a week or so, and put it away for a bit. I worked on it off and on at the beginning of January, but finally pulled it out and finished it in the last few days.Yes, he has a story. No, I'm not telling. Yet.
There is SO much detail in this image. I'll post close ups in my scraps later.

The painting in the back was inspired by Reubens and 's Leda.
Most of the textures here are hand made, though I borrowed one or two from www.cgtextures.com/
This is a record breaker. It tops out at around 90 layers in Painter. (hooray for new computers!)

There is something incredibly sensual about this image, you have done an absolutely divine job on this. His leather trousers look infinitely strokeable. I love the hint of the four-poster in the background and his daring look.

This is just amazing. There's so much detail it's mind blowing. It's obvious a hell of a lot of care went into this. The colours are astoundingly vibrant, and his attitude just shines through. Extremely well done, amazing.

Your detail is simply amazing. The wood of the furniture has the perfect texture, and I love how the brocade of the couch is that gorgeous shimmery embroidery instead of an easier-to-do matte.

Why am I going to kill you?
I can see why he might remind you of Gambit. The black eyes and silver pupils aren't really a nod, but the attitude is somewhat Gambit-like. I wanted him to be so cocksure and arrogant that even among so much frippery he still seemed masculine.
