Heh, some Inuyasha fanart. I'm a huge fan of Sesshy and Rin, and I wondered what it would be like if they were in modern times. There was actually a picture preceding this one, with Rin jump roping and Sesshy following behind, and I wondered "Oh, but Rin jump roping is such a summertime activity... school's coming up soon. How would she feel going to school and leaving her Lord Fluffy-kin behind?" And that's where this came in.

I am SO proud of this picture! It actually has an environment! I mean, look into that room - does it not look like a first grade classroom? I mean, midgeted tables and chairs, floor rugs, alphabet posters, aquarium, cubbies? Ah, how I miss those days.

I'm also proud of the interaction between the characters. I mean, look how Rin is just cowering behind Sesshy, and holding onto his arm, and how Sesshoumaru doesn't look very happy about letting Rin go either. *fangirl-SQUEE!* It's so adorable! I love it!! Tee hee, ha ha!!

Oh oh! And their outfits! Based off of their canon outfits (Rin's checkerboard pattern, the overall layers and basically colors of Sesshy's. If he were turned a little, you would see his kimono pattern on his shirt, he would). I know Fluffy-chan is rather stiff looking and dressed up (Loafers? Ouch), but face it, he is rather stiff and dressed up anyway. I just haven't figured out how to include his fluffiness.... maybe he could have a man purse to make up for it....

Oh, yeah, so, regular mechy pencil and a 9x12 sketchbook, took me maybe three hours.
