I've become obsessed with the background and internal darknesses of Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender. He lost his only son, Lu Ten, in battle, and so, of course, his worst nightmare would be to lose Prince Zuko, his surrogate son, in the same manner. I rather love how Photoshop auto-leveled the picture.
The different colors make it awesome. But yeah. Drawn with .7 mechanical pencil in a small sketchbook, picture taken on camera phone, and so some tweaking had to be done in Photoshop 7. Hope you all like it!P.S. I totally colored this! Check out [link]

You know, I'm actually currently reading a fanfiction in which the author alludes to the fact that Iroh's worst fear is Zuko dying several times. You really should read it, the name is 'Embers' and you can find it on fanfiction.net. It's *really* long though, over 300.000 words, but it's worth every last second. The character development and interactions are wonderful, and it's one of the few fanfictions where you can't help but love every single OC. I've been reading it for the past two weeks or so, and every time I was finished I just started right from the beginning. I must be on my 3rd or 4th turn or something XD
I really love the picture, it's so emotional and heart-wrenching!

I looked at the colored version, but I actually like this one better. It just seems so much more raw, which I love. I guess I'm just a sucker for a nice black and white piece

*falls in love with picture* This is amazing! The emotion conveyed is absolutely excellent and how you drew the positions is flawless. I especially love Iroh's hand by Zuko's neck. lots of detail, Zuko's limp hand at his side. Those aren't easy things to draw and you did it great! not to mention the angles of their heads.

Yeah, considering how Iroh's life fell apart after Lu-Ten died, he'd pretty much be doomed if something happened to Zuko.

I know... see The Seige of the North Part 1. Iroh just glomps on Zuko, not wanting him to go, because he's so afraid of losing him. I really don't know what Iroh would do if he DID lose Zuko. Fortunately, I highly, highly doubt that they'll kill of Zuko. If they do, it wont be til the very, very end, and if that happens, all of us avatards will seek out the creators and destroy them.

This show is absolutely amazing. It just.... ooooh it's so great. Prince Zuko is so angsty and all the characters are just amazingly done and developed, and one of the characters in the first season is played by Jason Isaacs, who did Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies, and it's SOOOO great!!!

Viacom is just as much of a copyright nazi as Disney. They removed all the Invader Zim episodes from YouTube too, as well as any AMV referencing the show. Sad.

Actually, you know, turbonick DOES have most of the Avatar episodes! So when you have time and you wanna watch them, go to [link] and do a search on Avatar (and click full length). It doesn't list them by number, but by randomly with episode title. Just do "Boy in the Iceberg." It's the first episode... actually, why don't I make it easy and just put all the episodes in order?

Which one is Zukos aboslute best episode? I haven't decided yet, but I love the Zuko/Iroh moments in "The Chase" (DIE AZULA DIE A PAINFUL DEATH!) and bitter work

I really really love Zuko alone, because of the background story... but I would have to say my number one favorites are a tie between The Earth King (where Zuko has the fever and all the weird dreams), and... and pretty much all of season 3. XD

I agree, I like that one too.
I also like The Boiling Rock where they open the door after Zuko's been in the ice locker, and he looks up with this absolutely downright sexy smile on his face when he reveals he'd been keeping himself warm the whole time and had taken all the bolts out of the walls. That was awesome.
