I actually didn't think of that, but I'm going to say she would either need to be able to see them or know their general location in order to connect. Also, they were probably too far away, and for a while they were both knocked out.

She's from Sacred Stones... whatever number that is... and in Lute's own words:

that is... simply an understatement, from my experience. I arena abused in Fe:SS and got Lute to the point where she had more def then a level 15 knight... at chapter 6. I then promoted her asap, and then pretty much everything was a joke ever.
