you're right. jin technically no longer exists, he became hakumen and the entire interior or the armor is hollow.

Haven't seen an image of Hakumen without the mask before... does he take it off during Continuum Shift?

He took it off in calamity trigger on one path of his story, but you can't see his face just his hair
