Description
Deep within a darkling woodwhere dragonflies woo their prey
gnarled branches screen the sky
and the leaves there dapple day
There within the ancient trunks
pale eggs are laid with care.
Beneath blistered bark foals will grow , then,
when heat has stripped the fern heads bare
hatching out in honey'd sap,
mewling to their mother's care

wow i love this compostion, the dark trees in the foreground give a nice effect. you painted the background so beautifully, the nice blend of colors and brush style gives off this mysterious atmosphere.

how interesting. i never would have thought of unicrons being born from eggs within trees. really, quite interesting. and i must say you've illustrated the concept beautifully! i like the curves of the unicorn's tail & neck. how elegant and swan-like! and the trees are so lovely. you can 'feel' the green. very nice work, indeed.
