Description Myself as Arwen Undomiel, costume made by me.
The character Arwen belongs to JRR Tolkien.
This dress is Arwen's requiem dress, I believe, and only appears briefly in the movie. Still, it's become her iconic dress. I'm so thrilled to finally be cosplaying LotR, as it's always been an obsession of mine (I'm not kidding, I've been obsessed with Tolkien since I could read).
These shots were super last minute, because it snowed pretty unexpectedly a few weekends ago, and I decided that I'd get into cosplay and take some pictures. It was freezing, but totally worth it. I really wonder what Imladris would look like when it snowed...

Where did you get the ears?? Or are they photoshopped?

They're Aradani elf ears (small) from Aradani Studios. I'm not sure if I would recommend their product as the prosthetic is quite large and the quality isn't always consistent. In my search for elf ears though, I wasn't able to uncover any better options for purchasing the ears... and making your own could be quite costly. So I guess if you decide to buy ears from Aradani, be aware that you'll probably have to repaint them yourself and you're not guaranteed to get two ears that look the same.

I was gonna buy them from there too! I guess I have more searching to do, and if I don't find anything better I'l just order from there. Thank you for the advice :'D

No problem. I know a lot of people really like their ears and the reviews seem to be generally positive. It might just be that the batch I got was kind of a dud batch.

Thank you! The blue portion of the dress alone took 7 yards of fabric, and the sleeves 3 yards of velvet... I'm so glad you like it, that makes all the effort worth it!

Wow! That's a lot of fabric. I've never sewn anything that extensive. Good for you!
