Description A shoop'd picture my friend took of me at Youmacon this year.
I just messed with the colors and stuff, but nothing else. So I didn't like....make a new face, I still look pretty derpy, lol.
I think my cheeks are a bit chubs for this character, but I had a blast wearing it.

I'm missing a few items from the costume, I'd made note what to change for next time. But I'm overall happy with my results.
This is only my second time making a costume D: So I realize I still have much to learn.

I also made the leg bag a bit big :/ but it was completely functional, which made carrying around my ID's, diabetic stuff, etc, so much more convenient.

But, I really loved this shot of me in the lobby of the RenCen. Fun fun fun!

Thanks to my friend for taking photos of me

Next time I won't forget the other armband (found it in my bed for some reason, damn cats!), arm stocking thing (had it packed, didn't wear it, wut), two more buckles on the collar, remake the skirt (ew vinyal leather, what was I thinking?!) and the sword bag. I hope I'll have the sword made by the next con I go to, whenever that is. Maybe Acen? Hmmm.... I dunno.

(Oh, and in hindsight, I realize the shooping made all my browns and navy look black. Oops D: forgive me!)

Yeah it took me much longer than I anticipated but I still have a few more things to touch up D: Oh well, I love sewing, so I don't think it'll be an issue, lol.
Yeah, I like seeing other Lightnings, I think it's great!

I agree
They only downside is cosplay is such an expensive hobby x.x Buying all the wigs and such. I don't really plan on doing too many, maybe as much as five more, lol. But I love doing it >_<

oh man thats sooo true O__o ,I think its even more expensive when you want a specific kind of accuracy or artistic liberty with your costume !!! at first I thought making Lightning for fun would be a good thing but I've always been ocd so when things finally came boiling down I just ended up spending more time, resources and eventually money XD ,I'm still not satisfied with my costume since I want to have everything in it upgrades and I'm just little ways away from doing so XD ,aww !!! that's a shame ! cosplay is a fun hobby ,maybe you can space out the time you work on your costumes to minimize costs ??

Yeah, I usually start a project months ahead of time to save in money! It also gives lots of time to work on accuracy!
I have some projects that I might start without an event in mind just so I can work on it and take all my time I need.
>_< wahhh, cosplay is so fun but stressful haha.

thats a great idea ! I usually work on projects without any deadlines since Ive never had the stress of trying to get one ready for a con, never had the chance to go to a con ,I don't think I could agree with ya more that cosplay is stressful haha XD trying to gather references and materials you find best is always the biggest one O__o
