Your tonal work is so minimal yet succinct. I may have already said this about others of your pieces, but I really can't get past it... I really admire this quality in your work. I'm sorry if you get this question a lot, but I was just wondering what you use to ink - - I'm curious as to whether or not your line wight/quality is attributable to your actual applicator.
Anyway, if you get time to answer my question that would be lovely. If not, no dramas.
Thanks for letting us all see your beautiful work. I hope you're having a great day/night.

thank you! you inflate my ego. i use those throwaway micron pens, both regular and brush tipped. the brush tips start falling apart after a few good uses, and then they start making this really great messy edge, which is what i used on the girl's hair.
and it's ok to ask questions. i actually don't get that one much, because that's a question artists ask. artists ask about tools and technique. everyone else asks questions that tend to assume you are slightly magical.

Well, the quality of your work justifies a little ego inflation.
Ah, Sakura Microns? Wonderful. I did try that particular brand a few years back - I don't know whether or not I just picked up a bad bunch, but I found they weren't as lightfast as other brands and they had a tendency to erase (only a problem if you happen to have made a heavy-handed construction sketch beneath your inks). But yeah, maybe I should give them another try... I've been using Copic multiliners.
Thanks for putting me on your list, not sure if I've done the same - I'll check now. And I'm glad you welcomed the question. Don't get me wrong, every artist I admire has something slightly magical about them. I'm sure of it.
Have a wonderful day.

i honestly don't know how they compare to other kinds of pens. they're the only things the stores around here carry (aside from the stuff i can't afford). so, don't take it as my approval. go with the copics if you like them better.
take care!
