So our assignment here was to draw a scene from a dream or a distant memory. As soon as our teacher said this, I knew exactly what I wanted to draw-- a dream from last August. It was a lucid dream, but when I looked out on the scene before me, there was nothing I wanted to change, except that I was rather cold, hence the fur coat. What I saw in the dream is pretty much what you see here. I was standing on top of St. Basil's Cathedral in Moscow, looking out on the city. Though the cathedral was like a rainbow, the rest of the city was gray and covered in fog. The snow was swirling about, and the domes of the cathedral spinning in the wind.
actually the magpie there was not in my dream, but that's a long story for another day. Suffice it to say I think they're good luck.

I must say I am very pleased with how this turned out actually. ^__^ The coloring was a bit of a new experiment.
