And here is the Digimon that gives Leomon a run for the title of King of Beasts, Savagemon! If you can’t guess this is everyone’s favorite Disney wild-guy Tarzan in Digimon forms. The logical choice would have been to make him more gorilla like, but since when have I’ve been known to be logical? Savagemon however was of course raised by ape-like Digimon, and his master is the legendary Gokuwmon.

Grrr. Darn it. Not only that, but it's a Digimon that had a better English name before getting dubbed. To me, she will always be Persiamon, but I will use Savagemon

Again, some dub names can be horrible, but some are actually good. Like Apemon. I doubt kids would know what the hell his original name came from. Or Beelzemon. I know its just Beelzebumon without the bu, but shorter is easier for kids to say. The best Dub name I can think of though is Gallantmon. Duke is a rank of nobility and as such doesnt explicitely refer to knights. Gallantry is generally associated with Knights though. Plus if they kept Dukemon and still used the digital hazard, I have a feeling they would be given a lawsuit from the Dukes of Hazard

Some dub changes I do admit are horrendous. I mean, Omnimon? He may be one of my favorite digimon, but Omega makes more sense when paired with Alphamon. Alpha and Omni is beginning and all, Alpha and Omega is Beginning and End, that makes more sense. Also, Axeknightmon? Why did they need to censor Darknightmon? I mean, Skull passes their test but Dark doesnt?! Even Laylamon! Lilith at least references the demon like Beelzemon, but Layla?! That I find no Demonic origin in that name!
