Description Salvo Palace (Spanish: Palacio Salvo) is a building in Montevideo, Uruguay, located at the intersection of Avenida 18 de Julho and Plaza Independencia. It was designed by architect Mario Palanti, an Italian immigrant who lived in Buenos Aires. Finished in 1925, the Salvo Palace is 100 meters high and was the largest building in South America at the time.
