From what I've seen in photos through a couple of (online) friends it looks just amazing! And this place here... I first saw some pics of it in an email going around. As soon as I saw it I thought I want to go there. Its #1 on my list of landscapes that I want to see. I have to know, what is it like standing up there? Do photos go anywhere close to capturing the enormity of it?

As for back home, yes there are a lot of amazing places to see, I don't think anyone regrets visiting here. I'm fortunate I've seen a lot of Australia, but I've never been overseas and really hope I can afford to go one day.

Well... it's really cool - especially because the way up is pretty tiring and you are glad that you finally are there. But there is a lot of great nature on the way up and you often get a glimpse on the Lysefjord - so it's not only standing on the top, the whole area is just amazing. But it's also pretty scary...going carefully closer to the edge and looking down... So I can just recommend to visit Norway.

And I think the Kjerag must be even cooler: [link] but it takes 8 hours to go there and the way must be pretty exhausting and a bit dangerous. I didn*t went there because my friend had an injured foot.

Awwwesome! I can imagine its a little scary peering over the edge... I guess if heights aren't your thing its a no-no!

And the Kjerag photo looks so cool too! So now these are (1a) and (1b) on my to do list. !!!

Thanks for the info too!

okay, then set this also on your list : [link]

I will visit this place (the troll-tongue) and Kjerag definitely the next time I'm in Norway (hopefully next year or in two years). But as I am living in Germany, it's not too far...
