The glossy feel to this is very effective, it's an unusual pose and your anatomy is spot on (excuse the pun).

thanks. I only wish I drew his tail longer but I didn't really have enough space and I dont like going too close to the edge of the paper...

ah! i have the derwent pencil set and it is so awesome to actually have different values for once haha. this is just gogeous. how do you achieve the soft/smoothness? blending stick?

That would explain your awesome-ness!! They work so much better than my other graphite pencils... I think these are more "creamier" and the softer shades don't scratch at the paper.
