Description This is really old, from 04, when the movie came out, but I never got around to putting it up. Mostly because it was a lousy scan and it was a big paper and I had to put the two pieces together in PS and fix the levels to make it fit...etc etc and etc... It was based on a picture in a book I had on the Last Samurai.

I still think he's cute and a good actor, no matter what everyone sez. *pinches his cheek*

Your attention to detail in this sketch has just blown me away.... I do hope you realize that? This came out so well. Every little detail--

The shading, the linework.. everything is so warm and fluid.

There's a lot of character within this one as well, which is amazing.

I really love how you've done his facial hair. You've really taken that extra step to make sure every piece of hair is "in place." Which I adore.
